Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market (th: ตลาดน้ำคลองลัดมะยม) is a great place to visit as you can experience the real Thai-style floating market there. The market is located in Taling Chan area, which is a little outside Bangkok, but it’s really worth to visit.
The floating market was first opened here in 2004. At first, the floating market was situated only on one side of the road but after 2007 it was expanded to both sides of the road.
Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market itself is big and offers a great atmosphere and large variety of local authentic Thai food. The market is popular with locals who come here for food or shopping. You won't see many tourists here.
Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market is more like a riverside market because the shops are located on the ground near the canal. Don't expect to see many sellers preparing food on their boats, like you’ve seen on TV. Only a few boats selling food and vegetables can be seen here.
Food stalls look mostly clean. As this is a very local and non-touristy spot, most of the vendors don’t speak English, but you will still see English names of food at the market.
Coconut for only 10 baht!
The whole grilled fish covered in salt is definitely a must try. It costs 160 baht.
Corn Som Tam for 60 baht.
Huge grilled prawns for 200 baht.
Not only food is being sold here. There are also a few shops selling retail goods, hand-made stuffs and souvenirs at Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market.
There are boat tours offered at Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market too. You can see tables selling boat tour tickets alongside the canal. You can choose from long paddle boats and long-tailed motorboats that are available to take you to see the beautiful nature along the canal. The tour can include a short visit to local house, orchid farm and temple. Motorboat ride costs 100 baht per person and is more expensive than slow paddle boat ride which costs only 20 baht per person.
Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market has fish spas too and it costs only 99 baht per person for an unlimited time of this procedure.
You can feed the fish if you wish. The fish food and small loaves of bread can be bought at the market.
There is a corner for painting which is good for family activities as well.

If you want to reach the place nearest to the market by bus, you need to take the local bus No. 146.
